The Verde Passage Dive

Recent scientific studies have found that the most biodiverse marine life species IN THE WORLD are to be found in the center of the Philippines, in a part of the ocean near Puerto Gallera called The Verde Passage.

Last weekend, I was asked to go into the deep so that we could come back up with a story about the project to preserve the ecosystem within this area. It meant another scuba dive, this time with one of the first professional and most outstanding divers in the country, Gerry Reyes (seen here in the picture giving me the prep talk) and a team of marine conservationists...

We hit an overcast time of weather in the week, with a typhoon somewhere further out, but that didnt stop us from taking the dive...and what an experience!

Plus the camera crew got to go as well.

To tell you the truth, I actually smile really big when I'm a little freaked...

But as you can see, it was worth a few pre-dive jitters...

I emerged with an even bigger smile and an addiction to the deep!

So if you're planning a vacation anytime soon, and you love the thrill of the unknown, or the spectacular treasures of nature, now you know where to go.

See you when I see you?
